KATIE THACKERAY

Katie has been a stylist in the beauty industry since 1998. Katie has always had focus on continued education and excellence in the beauty industry. Short hair and transformations have always been a focus for Katie!! She has attended international workshops in London, Dominican Republic, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Rome as well as in numerous Canadian cities. She is an educator for Sugar of the Nile and teaches classes out of Balance Beauty Sales and Services. In September of 2013, Katie received her Silver Master Judges Medal. Most recently, Katie has completed her professional Astrology training with renowned astrologer, Debra Silverman. Currently Katie is a mentor for Debra's Applied Astrology class, connecting her with astrology students form all over the world. Katie is also a Reiki Master and has a great focus on balancing energy with practicality. Outside of work Katie loves spending time with family, performing at music events, and running her daughter London around to sports.
RHEANNE THACKERAY-Sheppard
Owner, Nail Technician, Esthetician, Body Sugar Technician, Educator
Rheanne has been an esthetician/nail artist since 2000. She is an international nail competitor. She has been awarded numerous Allied Beauty Association awards in nails and makeup. She was the 2004 Contessa Nail Artist of the Year for Salon Magazine and has been a finalist several times including the 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 Contessas. She most recently won the 2015 Mirror Award for Nail Artist of the Year for Canadian Hairdresser Magazine. Rheanne has a passion for all esthetics with a focus on nails and skin care. She also finds time in her busy schedule to do education for Aveda, Sugar of the Nile and Amore Ultima Nail Systems. You will often find Rheanne and her husband Deric at the lake, music venue or dance studio with their children, Harper and Bennett.
ANITA SCHMIDT
Owner, Business Manager, Balance Sales and Services Manager, Nail Technician
Anita joined the Vivid team in 2011 as business partner and manager. Her experience in inventory and retail round out our management team and compliment the skills of the other owners. She added Nail Technician to her busy schedule and loves creating beautiful shape and structure within her nails as well as in the business. Her and her husband Terence have a son Zach and daughter Teneille .
VAL THACKERAY

After a successful career as a special education teacher, Val accepted the challenge of creating Vivid in 2007. Val's skills and experience have influenced her daughters’ to make a strong management team. Now that Val is able to step back and let her daughters take the reins, she has time to focus on her career as a Visual Artist. When you visit Vivid you can experience some of Val’s paintings on our walls. Val and her husband Rory have six grandchildren: Logan , Shelby, London, Zach, Teneille, Harper and the newest edition, Bennett. Val enjoys spending time at their Peck Lake home with the family.
Kendra Crone

Kendra is a graduate of the Lakeland College Hairstyling Program and has been a valued member of the VIVID team since 2017. She has a passion for all things hair and sugaring and feet. Kendra is an old soul that immediately brings a comfortable experience. She is knowledgeable and experienced and can easily guide you through your appointment. Se spends her time away from work with her son Parker!
KElsey Lever
Journeyman Hairstylist, Body Sugar Technician, Pedicurist
Kelsey is a graduate of the Lakeland College Hairstyling Program and has been a proud member of our team since 2017! She grew up in Lloydminster with a passion for competitive dance in her youth. Her hobbies include reading an exciting book while enjoying a hot tea and spending time with friends. Kelsey has expanded her services offered to body sugaring and pedicures while developing a serious love for hair color! She has been gaining experience daily on all the aspects of the industry and truly prides herself in making people feel confident while providing and exceptional service! She spends her free time with her best friend Leroy, a golden retriever…he is a handful!
Sari Macdonald

Sari is a second generation hairstylist. She began her successful hair career in 2014. She loves all aspects of the hair industry and specializes in women’s colours and cuts! When she isn’t doing hair she spends her time chasing around her busy daughter, Ellie. She is excited to be part of our team.
Dakota Boser
Journeyman Hairstylist, Pedicurist, Body Sugar Technician
Dakota graduated from the Lakeland College hairstyling program in June 2022 and completed her Journeyman Certificate in 2024. Dakota loves all things color. From blonds to fashion color, she would love to add some color to your life. In her downtime from creating at the salon, she loves spending time with friends and family camping and socializing or enjoying some quiet time at home.
hannah Hennifent
Esthetician, Body Sugar Technician, Nail Technician
Hannah has been a valued member of the VIVID team since 2021. She completed her esthetics training at Marca in Edmonton and has a passion for expanding her knowledge. She is extremely focused on skincare and sugaring and her passion for helping people shines through. Bubbly, friendly and charismatic Hannah will make each visit with her a fun and comfortable experience.

Ann Dee has been a clinical esthetician since 2021. She is passionate about pedicuring, body sugaring and skin care. Her perfectionism and attention to detail leave her clints raving! She is a recent newlywed and spends her time with her husband Dane.
